Congaree is the world’s first philanthropic golf club, and its success is measured by the positive impact seen in the lives of deserving young people and its impact on the local community. In 2022, CGGI expanded to Europe, allowing more students from around the world to access Congaree Foundation programming.
Best New Private Course of 2018
No. 39 among America’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses
Best Course Built This Decade (2010-2019)
Congaree (United States)
Set in the scenic Lowcountry of South Carolina, Congaree is one of America’s most celebrated golf clubs. Legendary architect Tom Fazio designed the course to seamlessly embrace the natural surroundings of the historic 18th-century estate on which it was built. Often compared to the heathland courses of the United Kingdom or the Sandbelt courses of Australia, Congaree was constructed to test the best players in the world.
Archerfield Links (International)
The 2023 International edition of CGGI will be hosted at the historic Archerfield Links along Scotland’s North Sea Coast. Archerfield is a challenging expression of a traditional Scottish links course with sweeping fairways, deep, menacing bunkers and undulating dunes bordering the fairways.
Congaree Cup
Congaree, one of the best new courses in America, plays host to the Congaree Cup, a signature tournament that culminates the students’ experience at CGGI.
